Grades are based on 60% participation, 20% run day and 20% written and practical/skills testing.
All gradesare based on points Earned and Lost. The total points earned at the end of each 6-week grading period
determine the final 6-week grade. The semester grade is based on the total average of each 6-week letter grade.
Minus pointswill be deducted for not being dressed in complete PE uniform, non-participation, not following directions,
poor behavior, gum/food/drinks, fighting, referrals, class cuts, incomplete assignments, unexcused absences and tardiness.
Excuses from Class: A written note from parent/guardian is required if a student is to be excused from class. A medical
note, signed by a doctor, must be obtained for absences longer than 3 days. Medical notes should also state how long the
student is to be excused from PE with a tentative return date along with any precautions or limitations.
Students are to treat classmates, adults and the learning environment with respect and courtesy. Not following school rules
will result in the following sequence of consequences: verbal warning, points deducted, phone call home, referral and
possible suspension from class or school. Students may be asked to participate in Lincoln’s Beautification Project which
may entail cleaning, sweeping or picking up trash.
